There are incidents of luggage being taken, some people prefer to stand where they can see their luggage.

With multiple bags, I have heard of people locking them together (with a bike lock) or even attaching them to something affixed to the train. Any deterrent helps (including suitcases that are a funky colour).
Thanks a lot

Yeah I know that
Maybe I said incompletely... I mean lots of people have suitcases. So in case that I can not find an empty place near to me, what should I do then? Then I have to put them near the exit door (after the door that people seat). Is it safe then? Just want to know....
If you can't find an empty seat close to your luggage, why not use your suitcase as a seat (given that your suitcase is sturdy and that there is enough space in the train). Grab a book to read and you're all set.

Just make sure you can get out of people's way easily when they need to pass you for whatever reason.

Good luck.

Re: Carrying two heavy luggages from Lausanne to Geneva

I suggest you balance them out to be 23kg each. This is the limit for "heavy luggage" and often the limit for a single piece on economy flights.

Also, for most people more than 23kg really does start to feel arm-wrenchingly heavy.

Do you have a friend with a GA who could help, if you really only need help from Lausanne station to GVA then if they had a couple of hours to spare on Sunday...

By the way, if they really are heavy cases then the likelihood of someone sprinting away with them from the train is not highly likely.

Re: Carrying two heavy luggages from Lausanne to Geneva

Generally speaking trains aren't too crowded on Sunday's (during the day. Evenings can be really full, especially when military personnel is taking the same train as you).

Also, Lausanne-Geneva is only about 30 minutes with the intercity, so if you're not convinced about your luggage being safe you can stand next to it during the journey.

I know you've already found a solution but I thought I would add these comments in case someone else comes across this thread with a similar enquiry.

Have a safe trip.
