Coal in the stocking, or did you just wake up cranky today?

Anyway, with 500km+ range, and a dog who definitely needs a break for a walk within that time, it fits nicely into my use case. Not to mention the Model X is a nicer drive than any of the German SUVs I tested this summer. Works for me.

Maybe there should be a onlineclub - “Tosslar ‘R us”. It has a certain ring to it.

Perhaps when you're old enough to drive, you'll reconsider.

Why such childish posts in a thread that's quite interesting? Please stop trolling.

On topic: did anybody buy a Hyundai Kona Electric and want to share experiences?

Another one jumping on the bandwagon- please let me have my opinion. It’s called freedom of speech.

It will be interesting to return to this thread in 10 years.

All car manufacturers will be selling EVs - and most EVs only. Battery technology will have taken a quantum leap with ranges of over 1000kms with charging in 2 to 3 minutes. 0 - 60 in 3 seconds. Minimal servicing - only brakes and tyres.

The EV will so outperform ICE powered cars as to make ICEs unsaleable...

Hydrogen is the future.

There is no freedom of speech on a privately owned forum, as you well know. Opinion is personal, feel free to hold whatever ridiculous notions you fancy. Speech in a private forum has consequences.

On a thread about cars? I know, madness, right?

I realize that you only exist on the forum for the purpose of making snide, not particularly witty comments, but here’s some information nonetheless:
  • Wikipedia is not an official source
  • Those are the US EPA numbers.

Tesla’s Swiss website lists a 565km range for the 100D.

Monkey.

Right. They have different colors and price-tags. I get it.

Wow. You really have no idea what you're talking about do you? This has just exposed your ignorance and pretty much invalidated all your nonsense posts on this thread.

Embarassing, come back once you've done a small amount of research and realise why that was a daft post.

Hydrogen is the future.
The problem with hydrogen is that it is used to power piston engines. These are fundamentally inefficient due to the pistons having to stop and start twice with each complete stroke. Rotating electric motors have up to 90% efficiency and somewhere about 60% in a car. This compares to about 20% for petrol. How efficient is a hydrogen powered piston engine??

That's not really why they're so (relatively) inefficient, as the linear momentum (the up and down bit) is not lost, but is converted into angular momentum (round and round ness) by the con rods and crankshaft.
