how to install English on BMW E90???

Hi guys,

I just bought BMW 3, 2006 (E90), it has board computer (navigation pro) but everything in ger/fr/it, no english so i need help!

Can anyone tell me if its possible to update the system and install english without going to service? And how to do it yourself? Also if anyone went to service to do it, what is the price in zurich?

thank in advance)
Best regards,
AK

Re: how to install English on BMW E90???

We were told that we needed to go to a BMW dealer and there they can install it fairly easy and quick (they have a CD or something they just put in and have the language changed). From what I understood, this was free of charge but we bought the car at a BMW dealer.
We eventually decided not to have it converted to English and use the boardcomputer in German, as part of our German learning exercise, so I cannot tell you exactly how and what and the cost, if any.

Griet, thanks for the comment!) i bought it not in bmw dealer just from a car garage. my friend told me as well that its easy just burn cd with program and put in, but as he is not a bmw specialist am a bit unsure about that method. therefore if anyone has done it before would really appreciate advise.

You can change it in the i-drive menu. It is just a setting.
I did it but can't remember how :-)

Perhaps you can enquire with the garage where the car was originally purchased from and ask if they can do this and how much it costs? Perhaps they do it for free?
