Swiss Half-Fare Card for Tourists

there is a Swiss Half-Fare Card for Tourists that valid for 1 month.
i have two friends coming in August in one week diffrence, so i looked for some discounted tickets for them, and since the half fare is valid for one month i was wondering if they both could use the same card?

Did anybody buy that ticket for friends/ family? is that the same Blue plastic card with name and picture, or is it a plain paper one with dates only?

The ticket is personalised with a name and the number of an ID (e.g. passport), which you have to show along with the ticket.

So no, two different people can't use the same ticket.

Re: Swiss Half-Fare Card for Tourists

If its a couple of days, have you looked at getting commune day tickets for them?

http://www.tageskarte-gemeinde.ch/

Usually works out cheaper than even a half fare.

Also check the website of where you live, all communes selling these tickets are not listed on that site.
