means of transport to LHC

what is the best way to get to LHC (for a tour visit , family of 4-5)?
- any public transport option?

Many thanks for the link.
It shows how to get to CERN by tram.
I in my understanding LHC (the collider) is some distance away from CERN and I am not sure how to get there.

You go to the CERN visitor center and register. You need to wear proper shoes or trainers, no sandals. You are then given a bicycle and directions where to cycle around the 27 Kilometers that make up the LHC. Don't worry, enjoy your visit!
