Motorcycle Ramp Needed

I am looking to transport a 270 kilo bike, and need to get it onto a truck, one that does not have a hydraulic lift on it. If anyone has one and would like to borrow or rent it, or know where I can get one, it would be appreciated. It would be more then likely needed for this Saturday, then again about a week later.

Thanks.

This has already been discussed, not an option. Do you know anything about ramps?

Re: Motorcycle Ramp Needed

A friend has one, but he's in TI.

I will be in ZH Sat-Mon, maybe I could bring it up (if he's not using it).

Re: Motorcycle Ramp Needed

I have some info on ramps and motorcycle transport below when I transported my Motorbike.
See more on http://www.englishforum.ch/items-wan...ug-z-rich.html

The guy I rented the ramp and straps from is very friendly and the cost is CHF40.- for all the stuff you need.

The trick basically is NOT to have the engine running however tempting it is to do so when you try and get it up the Van / Truck. Simply push it up with a help of someone. And reverse the process when unloading it. Make sure the ramp is securely strapped down to the van so that it doesn't slip back somehow.

Re: Motorcycle Ramp Needed

I am transporting it because it was damaged in an accident so we won't turn it on.

Re: Motorcycle Ramp Needed

Tom,
What time do you think you will be arriving on Saturday? If it is early enough, then yeah that would be kool. Otherwise I would look into the other option given.

Might be too late then. Let me look into something. Still would be good to meet you if you are in the neighborhood.
