New cabins in United flights from GVA to/from IAD & EWR

United/Continental have finally introduced a new 2.5 class cabin in their 767-300s that fly from Geneva to Dulles and Newark. The seats have changed and the pitch in Economy is now down to 31" but the way they're laid out makes for just enough legroom if you're over 180cm. They've also gone all electric on us, with US sockets in between each seat in Economy/Economy Plus and updated just about state of the art touchscreens behind each seat featuring 250 films, loads of US and other tv series, and lots of video games too. Music still isn't too good but at least the socket is now 3.5mm for headsets and there's even a USB socket to charge your devices on. All in all, a much better way of travelling than the older aircraft layout!

Re: New cabins in United flights from GVA to/from IAD & EWR

Having flown this again, row 18A has more leg space than normal because rows 16 & 17 on the left and central column of seats are now reserved for crew rest.

Also United have just changed their EconomyPlus system, it's quite a bit more expensive, is two tiered, and allows for a second checked bag. All info here: https://www.united.com/CMS/en-US/pro.../packages.aspx

This is a long overdue feature.

Thumbs up for that.

(even if the thread is two years old)
