Auto Licence test-Schweiz

What is that! After the third time not passing the test one has to have a special talk with state licence authorities and after the fourth time one has to go to a psycholog! In Germany that was stopped-now there are no such controlls.
Thats typically Swiss!!

Re: Auto Licence test-Schweiz

Sorry, it's not clear from your post. Do you mean you failed your driving test three times and now you are being referred to a psychologist?

Sounds like a pain in the arse but if you are intent on getting your licence, I guess you'll have to go along with it.

Seems a bit strange, though. It means a driving candidate could be as mad as a box of frogs but if they can pass the test, they are deemed safe to drive as normal.

Re: Auto Licence test-Schweiz

probably has to do with exam fear, and they want to help you with it by sending you to a psych.

just reading that in South Australia any person under the age of 25 with a P1 licence can only drive between the hours of 5 am and 11pm! Crazy!

What's the big deal. Then he passes at the second try. No one cares.

After the second fail they assume the driving instructor sucks. That's why he has to go to a talk too. And considering one has two full years to learn to drive with anyone (*) one may really have some issues not passing in the fourth time.

(*) 23 years or older having a license for at least three years.

Re: Auto Licence test-Schweiz

This rule makes quite sense.

there are people with a concentration deficit, not really smart when behind the wheel and needs to be assured by a psychologist.

I mean all the questions of this test are already known. You can buy this training CD which is containing all the questions.

The questions are also not rocket science.

So in my opinion it is nearly impossible to fail this test 3 times.

The same comes with the practical test. Every driving teacher is preparing you for all traps and tricks the tester will use. If you keep failing at a STOP sign or similar, well ....

In my 9 Years of driving - 4 people already crashed into my ass - because they did not focus on the street. So I really am for strict regulations who is allowed to drive and who isnt. take that shit seriousely ...

You can do the theory part as many time as you wish and are willing to pay the exam fee.

I think omtatsat was just taking the opportunity to present yet another ridiculous law that most people only find out the hard way.

... I for one didn't know this
(and also hope his son passes the second time)

Is it a law, or is it just part of the criteria required for holding a driver's licence?

Re: Auto Licence test-Schweiz

I think it's good that they have such things - maybe it'll stop people taking 9-10-11 tests and still failing?

And I would not worry about one failure....

Let's not forget once your son does pass his test, Via secura means that he will have a complete alcohol ban - as he does now as a learner. Not even one drink and driving is accepted.
