2 years without a break?

Ken, Tom, isn't that some kind of a record?

For a Rover - yes. That's why they have a 6 month service interval

Ours passed her last one, still don't quite believe it!!!

Recently taken to piddling coolant onto the garage floor when stationary though, so has clearly developed yet another xyz leak somewhere.
#2 son exploded something in the engine this Spring so it now only starts on three cylinders, the four doesn't kick in until ten seconds later.

Think the old lady's on her last legs to be honest.

tried the obvious things like new distributor cap and arm and new HT leads? if no engine warning light is on then it can't be anything too serious (is yours the t series engine?)

Re: Failed 2 MFK's - whats the score

#2 son's pretty handy, and has several pet mechanics too; think between them they've tried most things.
Will pass on the suggestion though and get him to try next time he's down from Fribourg. Rover's back in her garage until September now as OH is away in Denmark working.

I've no idea whether it's a t series or not tbh, the paperwork's in the car, and the storage garage is miles away!

Plugs, wires, cap, injectors, (in that order).

I would stay away from any car brand named after a dog.

According to wikipedia, the project name was "Tomcat", which may explain the piddling that they seem to do.
