Re: [Wanted] Driving instructor for License Conversion and driving test in Zurich

Hi Guys;
I'm quite confused: if I have a valid EU driving license, will I have to do the on-road test, or I will be good to go with a fresh eye-exam ?

With an EU drivers license you should be OK with just the eye-exam and the ~100 CHF bill you'll get together with your new license.

No no.. you misunderstood the eye test is around 20, thats true. 100 is the bill for the drivers license itself.

Hi,
I took two lessons of one and a half our each. The teacher picked me up at home, he proposed me to first drive direct to the Zürich Verkehrsamt to explain me how the process works for the practical test.
His english was clear and fluent and he explained to me every detail of the driving culture here in Switzerland.

Here is the info:

Matthias Barmettler
Lettenstrasse 3

Viel Erflog!

The classes where 100CHF each but it is totally worth it. He was very good.
At home ive drive since more than 10 years, that is why i took only 2 classes, but i've practice a lot by my self, specially around the "Zürichs Verkehrsamt" area because at the time (last sommer) they where doing a lot of renovations wich maked it more difficult. I've studied to the book with all the signals (im not sure of the name in english) and the day of the practical test everything went smood, the test lasted around 20 minutes.

Good luck!
Valeria
