VW Touran 7-seater fits 7 adults?

Hello everybody,

I have been in the forum for some time now, but only participated a couple of times before, so I will introduce myself here. I am from Caracas, Venezuela, living currently in Lausanne, and working/studying in Bern.

Now the question: Me and my girlfriend will receive some visitors in December and we plan to rent a car to travel around. In total we will be 7 adults, and we saw a good price for a VW Touran 2.0, 7-seater. The question is, can it really fit 7 adults, each with an "easyjet cabin baggage"-sized bag? In total it will be like 250km, so not a very short trip.

Otherwise will check the 9-seaters vans or maybe better two 5-seater cars.

Thanks!

Re: VW Touran 7-seater fits 7 adults?

would be very cramped

have a look at the merc viano or the VW bus for proper 7 seaters with space for bags

if you want to keep the luggage on your lap, then yes.

also, you can load max 700 kg. Meaning that 1 person + luggage can be max. 78 kg.

We have a 7-seater Touran: the flip-up seats in the back are great for kids, and even adults for short journeys, but using them reduces the luggage space to almost nothing. A minivan would be far more comfortable for 7 adults plus bags - hope you have a good trip!

For the price (and the unpredictable weather) you may better off with public transport - do you have snow/ice driving experience?

Rent a van. The Vianos (merc) are really good in snow ( I used to own one) as we drove it around in the Alps all the time. And they got TONS of space.

Re: VW Touran 7-seater fits 7 adults?

Since you are in Lausanne you should have a look at Enzo's vans.

As mentioned, you would be better/more comfortable in a van rather than a five place (with two jump seats in the trunk).

I suggest you drop by Enzo and see the two vans and decide on the best model for you. You should book now as I imagine they only have one or two of them.

Enzo is one of the cheapest in the area.

Link (that should get you to the page with the vans): http://www.enzolocation.ch/index.php...d=38&Itemid=43
