I was wondering if any of you went by train to Samnaun Dorf Post ( this is how the station is called). Because I can't find my passport and a have a vacation planned next week there and I would like to know if at any moment there will be the border crossed to Austria or not, or if there are any custom checks on the train or bus where i need to have my passport with me.

Crossing border: Depends on your chosen route. There are public transport routes to Samnaun which do not cross the border.
Identity papers when crossing border: You will not leave the Schengen area. Cross border checks do not take place.
Identity papers ... to document identity: Legally required for your presence in Austria. Legally required for crossing the border between Switzerland and Austria.
Note that "identity papers" can be anything that is suitable to document your identity. A driver's licence could suffice. Or a Real Identity Card. Or whatever the authority asking you will accept.
Customs checks ... is a customs check. Which is separate from an identity check. If you stick to customs rules in both countries, you are safe.
Note that I have seen custom checks on Swiss-Austrian border on the pass between Ischgl and Samnaun. Yes, there is a hut staffed by customs officers *on the slopes* (around slope 62/63, I believe), because people hop over to Swiss Samnaun for tax free shopping (alcohol, tobacco, if I recall correctly)
Recommendation: Have some sort of useful identity paper on you - e.g. your Ausländerausweis. You should be fine.
