Permit change/ insurance changes?

Hi guys, I was wondering about something. I have a B permit as an ETH student, but now I got offered a 6mo contract in a company and with that I guess I'm going to be offered a new L permit since the student permit allows me to work for 40% or 100% for an internship.

Given that I do get an L then, I guess I will have to communicate that change to my car insurance company. I also guess that the L is going to be up until contract expiration (i.e. end of August), and since until then my thesis will definitely not be done, I will probably get a new student B permit. So the L permit is just a temporary patch.

If they do have to recalculate my premiums given that the L permit is a short-term permit compared to a B, I guess that I could also break the contract early citing change of premiums? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Thanks in advance
