Liegenschaft Parking Ticket

Hello Swiss knowledge

This morning I got a parking ticket in the post from a 'Liegenschaft' with a 50 Chf Orange pay slip.

It is not a police ticket, but I think from the hauswart. There is a photo of my car, with a date stamp, and a pre printed letter. Seems that this is not the first time they have sent these 'parking fines' to people.

I was parked there for 15 minutes, while I went into a shop, from 09:00 till 09:15, but the time on the letter says 09:45 ???

Has anyone else had one of these 'fines' ? Are they legal ? Should I just grumble and pay ? Or ignore it ?

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Liegenschaft Parking Ticket

Have a look around the car park for a small sign (Paper A6 size) mounted at eye level. Usually they are made from aluminium and explain that a judge has decided a fixed penalty can be made for people parking incorrectly.

If there is a sign, then pay the bill.
If there is no sign contact the Liegenschaft Verwaltung, and dispute the fine.

What's the date/time stamp on the photo? 9:00-9:15 or 9:45?

Have a look around the car park for a small sign (Paper A3 size) mounted at eye level or higher or lower. Usually they are made from aluminium and explain that a judge has decided a fixed penalty can be made for people parking incorrectly.

If there is a sign, then:
- Pay the bill. Money goes into landlords account.
- Do not pay the bill and wait for court verdict. Money goes into community chest, will be most likely more than CHF 50 expect at least CHF 150 with all court feese. (As it is not a normal simple traffic fine, only the actual driver of the car can be fined)

If there is no sign:
- Do not do anything. No contact. Nothing. Zipp. Nada.

Re: Liegenschaft Parking Ticket

Just a quick follow up, I went back, on foot, to the visitors car park, and there was one of those 'Signs' as aSwissInTheUS very kindly attached to the forum post.
So, I will just pay-up and try and keep smiling
