Re: Alloy wheel repairs in Zurich?

back home there is a sector servicing body, wheel & interior repairs from a van.
They have materielas & paints to match most cars.

They will typically have capability in wheel repair, dash board repair, upholstery repair, metal body work & plastic body work repair.

You call them up & they come to you at home or work wherever & complete the repairs on the spot.

Has anyone seen this model here in CH?

They don't seem to have any pricing details. How much were you charged, and for what service?

I've had alloy wheels refinished in France, which were EU150 each, and I assumed it would be more than that in CH.

I've just spoken with them. They do quotes based upon viewing the wheel.

When I was in the UK last weekend I got a quote of 100 which I would have gone with had it not been for lack of time

I have used this service in the UK but I have not heard of something here like that. Is there a reason for it? No market? Someone posted recently about the mobile dent remover guy, haildent.

Re: Alloy wheel repairs in Zurich?

I just had mine done at Pneuhaus Frank. Was CHF 700 for 4 rims, so 175 per rim (VAT included). I had mine done at the Emmenbrucke branch but they have numerous branches all over the Luzern area. It took them 1 day so I dropped the car off in the morning and collected it in the afternoon the following day. The rims look like new and I could not be happier with it. My dealer (Mercedes) quoted me a flat CHF 250/rim and and other places were quoting in the same region (between 250-300/rim). Generally they want to see the car in person before they will give you a quote but I found that was the same with all places I looked at.
