| | Does anyone know where you can sell an older car?
Does anyone have any idea of where you can sell an older car, preferably with as little hassle as possible? Names and addresses of places not too far from Zurich or Zug area would be particularly useful. The car is 9 years old, we don't want to part-exchange it, we just want to sell it. If anyone knows of anywhere I'd be grateful to hear suggestions.
Thanks

Thanks | | | | | Depends on how much you want to get for it - if you really don't care just go to any smaller local car dealer near you and take what they offer.
Or put an advert on here and some of us will guide you to a good price.
(Best suggestion: go on to Autoscout - find a similar model - target about 50% for a quick non-px sale)

If you don't mind getting silly low-ball offers, you can put it up on Tutti. It's free to list there, as opposed to some other sites like AutoScout.
But follow dk's advice and at least get your price in the ballpark regardless of where you decide to post.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, I had only tried a bigger dealer, who said they were not interested in cars that old!
The car is an Opel Vectra, 2006. Petrol not diesel. I had the car for 7 years, it"s done about 104,000km.

Put it on Ricardo with a low starting price.

A search doesn't return too many similar cars - discounting the 2.8 models and allowing for body-shape I'd guess a price of around 6k - probably selling around 5.5k.
Which means, assuming your car will need a service and MFK before being sold by a dealer, would mean you'd be offered around 2-2.5k.
The vast majority of Vectras of that age in Switzerland either have stellar KMs and are looking to exported (usually ex-mobile engineer cars) or already have exported.
