Getting car repaired in Konstanz

I need replace the Servo Drive steering motor for a Fiat Punto. Would it be cheaper to go to Konstanz to have the work done. Any idea price for repair?

In terms of cost outlay for the actual repair including parts and labour, then YES it would probably be cheaper.

If you budget it the time to get extra quotes, taking a day off for the work, driving up there etc etc you may find that any saving is countered by the costs.

Why not call Zurlinde Garage and see how much they think it would be and then go from there - http://zurlindegarage.ch/kontakt/

We did warn you not to buy it at the time, this is not the first repair in not that long either!

Go to Waldshut-Tiengen. I saved on every repair done there about 60-70% of the quoted one in CH.

AFC has made some interesting contributions
Re: Getting car repaired in Konstanz

I always have my car serviced & any required work done in Konstance.
My car cost chf 800 for a service with a KIA garage here in CH, in DE it cost me €250. Also they always seem to "need" a whole day to service a car here, in Konstance they finish in 3 hours!
My work hours are flexible so i dont have to take a day off work which obviusly helps.

Given that in DE you could probably swap engines for that kind of money, replacing a damn rack seems steep.

Edit:

holly crap, if it's just the servo next to the column it's ridiculously easy and the part is about ~150EUR

Why does one even need to ask this question? It is clearly a rhetorical question
