Best category A motorcycle to pass test

Hi all,
I've been driving cat A motorcycle for years. But then there was a gap after I moved to Switzerland. The old passion had been resurfacing since last year. So I bought a gsxr 1000 last year and tried to go for the test. I failed miserably at the slaloms. I went back to school for 4 hours of training. There I figured out that even my instructor could not do the slaloms on my motorbike even after trying numerous times. Fact is simply not meant for slow sharp turns, especially when the slaloms are arranged in the shape of z. He had a scooter and I was able to do the slaloms very easily with that. I also did it with a Kawasaki ninja. The instructor then advised me to rent a motorcycle for the test. I would like to know what's the best category A motorcycle for tests, mainly focusing on maneuverability. Could someone please advise on this? Given that I'm very tall 6'3", I wasn't very comfortable with the Kawasaki ninja. Thanks.

I passed my test in the UK on a Honda CB500, having failed twice on a Diversion 600 (my U-turn kept letting me down, the UK test having (at the time, at least) no slalom element). However - I'm a good 8" shorter than you :) How about a Transalp or something of that ilk?

SV650 or 600 Hornet.

Definitely don't try it on a Ducati!

Which reminds me to tell my daughter's boyfriend to use her bike for the test and not his 899.

I'd also say a good 600/800 that is upright and has "normal" steering. I did my test on a VFR800 years ago and that was a challenge on the slow-speed stuff. If you sit upright and have a nice turning circle, you'll be much happier....

And practice on the bike, don't just use it on the day...

Thanks a lot guys. That was super helpful. I would go for a test drive on SV650 and CB600F. And surely I will rent it for a couple of weeks to get used to it before the test. Will post back how it went :). Cheers.
