Irritating, I had loaded 2 tickets for today into my "wallet" on the phone from the SBB app, one this morning, one for this afternoon. After having done the first trip, the second ticket showed as expired...... Although date and time clearly showed that the ticket should have been valid.

I find the ZVV app also very good

I use it everyday, input my credit card information there. This app makes my life so easier. No need to wait for the ticket machine. No need to ask counters. Moreover, notification about deals, train schedule are there. Hence, it is basically just an awesome app.

It is a pita to get used to. And it drags a little. The old one was good for me...

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

ooops- but SBB has said they are bringing the new app out for Windows 10

"Wann kommt die neue App für alle?
Die Einführung der neuen SBB-App für Android, iPhone (iOS) und WINDOWS SMARTPHONES ist auf Ende 2016 vorgesehen. Bis dann läuft die bisherige SBB-Mobile-App wie gewohnt weiter."

Why is the new SBB app so rubbish?

Am I alone in thinking that this new SBB app, which they seem to be pushing on you is complete rubbish? In my second attempt to use it today, I failed to buy a ticket. All I can see are a few pre-selected tickets that bear no resemblance to where I actually want to go. Can't see any way of selecting my required ticket. The old app seemed simple and this makes the most basic task nearly impossible. Also, how can I complain about this to SBB?f

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

I'm favourably impressed with the app. It's easy and quite intuitive to use. It's worth spending a bit of time to customize the stations and stops you use most, but after that it's really quick and easy to use.
I like the feature that works out your location and suggests the most appropriate ticket, except that where I live is on the VD-GE border and as I'm in VD the guys who did the app in Bern think that the most appropriate ticket is a Mobilis ticket for VD, when in reality my centre of activity is Geneva (and I suspect the majority of users where I live) and I need Unireso tickets (we're in both the VD and GE transport zones). However that's a minor point.

All of the above given my experience with it.

I've tried to use it 10 times now and so far it's only given me a result once - most of the time I just get an error. Basically, as with most things consumer tech these days, too much form, not enough function.

Quite frankly you're better off using the old printed timetable booklets.

Re: Why is the new SBB app so rubbish?

The programmers need to check out the Deutsche Bahn app (DB Navigator). It is phenomenal. Their website is equally good. I like the way they ask you to confirm every step. It takes a little longer, but you always get exactly what you want.

SBB has a long way to go.

Re: Why is the new SBB app so rubbish?

Seems ok to me?

Select where you want to go using the Touch Timetable, select your train and pay. For big more exspensive trips I still prefer to go into the office to find the cheapest ticket! I wish they had a photo of all the staions, my one Bülach is just grey

If you have to produce a video instructional on how to do something on a smartphone app, then you've totally failed with your user interface design.
