Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

I just checked playstore and it appears only a preview version is out so far, is it the one you're referring to? I am hoping I will be able to buy tickets on my phone, the current/old app tells me that my email address is not valid. Grr!

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

I've been using it for some time. It is great. Makes everything easier than the classic app. It is still under development and SBB is hoping for users feedback where you can give ideas and help deciding what would be best to have as feature: https://mobilepreview.sbb.ch/

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

It's great. It feels so intuitive with the point and drag.
I like that you can buy local transportation (e.g. Frimobil) tickets with ease.

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

So far so good. Although it updated right when I was in a rush to get connections.
I love the 'get home' function, used to have it on a 3rd party app and used it all the time. Glad they incorporated it in the new one.
Touch-timetable looks very promising as well.
I did find a bug, when you are looking at a connection, and click on the relative tram/bus/train, to see what other stops it has, and where on that line it presently is----crash!
Otherwise very nice

Yeah - really good

"An error occurred please try again" is about as far as it gets.

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

Yes. When I managed to find the icon for the SBB timetable on my Android, it now points to the new application. It does look good. I hope, however, this new one can remember my wife's date of birth. It was a misery buying a ticket for her and having to scroll through over 50 years to find the right one.

Edit:
I've checked in the mean time and found that this problem has now been corrected with this new release. I no longer have to re-enter my wife's name and date of birth at each ticket purchase.

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

I heard my husband trying to use it yesterday evening for his trip today and the self-conversation went something like this...

"WTF?.... Gopverdamme... How do I..? AAGGHHH, I'll just go to the ticket machi..." (bit more sweary cursing) then "Oh, look at that! That's cool. Ha! Done it!"

I guess it just takes a bit of getting used to.

Didn't work for me either, until I checked that Location was enabled in the phone settings. Have you done that?

Sorry if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs, but I had to specifically enable it in the SBB app settings within "Settings" on my phone (assuming on iphone, scroll down to the list of apps at the bottom of the first page within Settings).

It's very nice, neat and intuitive. Well done SBB. (Post intended to oppose some complaint's corner rants about CH).

Anyone tried the new SBB app?

Looks promising but many things still didn't work this morning and everything was really slow. I hope whatever backend problems they are having will be resolved soon.

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

Its alot of garbage app. These high paid IT experts making shit! One cannot even get a connection ticket ( zones ) easily. With the old app one could just choose connection ticket and how many zones. Now one has to put in where you want to go and from where. Such idiots! And still the location is not working.

I like the design and functionality...except I keep getting an error message when trying to use the touch timetable.

Re: Anyone tried the new SBB app?

New app officially launched today.

But, iPhone 4 running iOS 7 is not compatible. Old App still on phone but no longer works. Will open but crashes when you try to do anything.

No way to contact SBB to report problem either.
