Somebody driving an escooter takes the risk of being crushed by a truck if he drives it on the road. They are allowed to drive them on the cycle paths which is fine by me. And on the roads even but it's them who need to take the risk, not the pedestrians. The pedestrians came first. So to all escooter drivers: STAY OFF THE PAVEMENTS. | | | | |
ohhhhh i'm so frightened of you, please don't be so hard on me you big boy

| | Re: electric scooter - rules? | Quote: | | | | | Why should "I" be the one to step aside if the escooter is driving it illegally where I am walking? The escooter should not be on the pavement in the first place.
I walk straight at them (and straight at cyclists riding on the pavements) waiting for them to go to one side. If they don't I will sue the hell out of them, plus the escooter hire company holding them vicariously liable having owed a duty of care to properly inform their customers or ensure that they are not allowed to drive them on the pavements.
