Jeep Cherokee users

Hi,

Any Jeep Cherokee users here? Can you please share your experience with the car? I searched in internet, found some cars had Transmission issues.
Any users here had any issues?
I found a good deal and not sure about the reliability and driving.
I did a test drive, it was fine.

Thanks

Re: Jeep Cherokee users

Do you maybe think, that you can provide more information on the Jeep you would like to purchase? You know, random futile things such as, year, engine, gearbox type of knick-knacks.

Re: Jeep Cherokee users

Had a grand cherokee 4.0l for a few years and loved the beast to bits, drank like a thirsty polish bricky but fun to drive, never had any problems with much except the glass on the headlamps fell out.
Would not get another one though.

You Philistine, one does not need headlamps on a Jeep.

No, it's not.

The Renegade is based on the Panda platform, the Cherokee isn't.

Re: Jeep Cherokee users

Towed a boat trailer from Denmark to CH, averaged about 15 to 20 litres except going up the Kasseler Berger where the little computer thingy maxed out at 65 Litres per 100 Kilometers.
But for a normal 1/3 mix it would drink 8 to 12L

Recent Disco did around 11l/100km from the middle of the UK towing 2500kg - which isn't all that shabby.

The X3 towing 2000kg average 9l/100km including a crap load of parking and reversing!

170ps and around 350nm - it will be brisk as the 9-sp automatic shuffles cogs. It won't set the world alight - but it should be more than adequate.

A 129ps Sprinter 412D would cruise at 80mph - with 2000kg on the towbar - with easy!!

The Jeep Cherokee is a reasonable value SUV - but it is not a premium SUV. The quality of the interior won't be great and it will never feel as well thought out as a proper premium SUV. It also has a face only a mother could love.

I always hated the idea of American cars.. and SUVs..

Then, through unforseen circumstances I ended up with 'Jeepy'.. sadly rear-ended in a bad smash...

Still miss her
