And bicycle riders like you get ME worked up.

I am a deaf person and don't hear bicycles approaching from behind, nor their bells if they ring them at all.
I often walk the dog on a riverbank and quite a few times I've almost been overrun by some bicycling people who think the path is a personal racetrack, without consideration for walking people.

When I see bicycles approaching me, I always call the dog to heel and wait with her, standing still until they passed us, just as a well mannered person and dogowner does.

Where is the harm, I am asking you, in slowing down sufficiently to overtake someone from !!behind!! at reasonable speed? Especially when you realise the person, for one reason or other, is not reacting to your warning???
Unfortunately, many dog owners are not as concientious as you. I was nearly clotheslined at the weekend by a small yappy dog on one of those bloody retractable leads running across the road (not path) to investigate a farm dog.
