motorbike MFK, chipped paint, less than perfect windscreen

I'm looking at buying a motorbike, about 4 years old

There are some minor chips in the paint in front of the seat, possibly from the use of a tank bag or zippers on the previous owner's clothing. Will this mean a fail at the MFK test?

On the new bikes, the windscreens are perfectly clean but on this bike the windscreen has become slightly tinted/dirty with age. Maybe it can be cleaned, maybe it can only be replaced. Does the MFK test require the windscreen to be like new?

Re: motorbike MFK, chipped paint, less than perfect windscreen

The paint won't be a problem. I just took my bike through its first MfK last year, with some scratches and such due to my jacket zipper and keys, and it wasn't even glanced at - in fact, I was thanked for having my bike in such good condition that I enabled the tester to be quick.

I guess it's the same story with the yellowing windshield - that will happen with age. However, as that might impair your visibility, I really can't say with certainty that you'll be ok.
