Distracted Driving Laws Zurich

Is it illegal to drive with one headphone in while driving?

Depends on whether or not it distracts you.

Re: Distracted Driving Laws Zurich

Ha,

Well I was snapped by a speedy camera at about 8km over with one in. This is why I ask.

In terms of distraction, I was not. I was watching the road ahead normally. Just didnt realize that a 3 lane road in both directions could ever be a 50 zone. Stupid me.

But in all seriousness... is this considered distracted driving in the same way that talking on your phone (phone to your ear) is?

Thanks for your reply.

As to your question: I'd say it is not illegal (only one ear). The one-ear-headsets for handfree phoning aren't either.

Thanks for your input curley. I think you are right / hope you are right.

Perhaps I let the thread know when ye' ol' speeding ticket roles in.

I put this to the forum because I searched forever to try and find an answer to this.

I actually looked for an answer to this for a while. Thanks again for your original input.

Maybe someone else has some input?
