Tram to train/boat

I live in Seefeld, close to the Tiefenbrunnen station and I have a few questions about transportation.

Let's say I want to travel from my place to the Zurich HB or the Opera house
I can travel by boat, tram, or train.

If I already have my 24hr ticket for the tram CAN I:
* use the train - with no surcharge
* use the boat - with no surcharge

Similar question:
* I was just at the airport, bought a ticket from the airport to Tiefenbrunnen.
* Can I use the same ticket to get on the Tram - or do I need to purchase a tram ticket as well.

Re: Tram to train/boat

Transportation tickets in Zurich are valid for all forms of transport. Except in certain places (certain cable cars in the mountains), your ticket should be vaild withing the time period

ZVV tickets are no longer valid without surcharge on (some) boats!

Re: Tram to train/boat

To clarify things a little, here is the link to the Plan of the Zones. On your ticket, the numbers of the zones for which the ticket is valid are shown.
ZVV Zone Plan

For transport in other areas of Switzerland and other Swiss Fare Networks, start off here. It takes time to go through it all, but in the end you are more likely to get the correct answer than by asking on a Forum.
