MFK check

Hi,
I have been invited for a MFK check for my car at the end of this month. It was just serviced at a BMW garage 6 months ago as regular maintainance. do you suggest me to take the car to a local garage and get it MFK ready? if thats the case, any local garage would do or do i need to take it again to a BMW garage. i dont want shell money to the garage if it is not needed.

PS: If at all i would have to take the car to a local garage, how much costs can i expect to make the car MFK ready? just for info, i only take my car to a BMW garage for regular services as advised by the onboard computer.

cheers
happycreature

Re: MFK check

This was discussed about 2 weeks ago, did you search?

Conclusion: clean the car, put the car into the test, then if it fails give it to a garage to fix the points raised by the MFK inspector.

Re: MFK check

If you go to the garage for an MFK Readiness, they will change the blinker fluid, exchange the tyre air for high quality Swiss mountain air, adjust the seats to the Swiss national standards, calibrate the floor mat geometry, and perform various other unnecessary tasks which they will happily charge you for

Or you go to the MFK and then get a check list of what to get fixed.

Re: MFK check

I'd also say make sure you have washer liquid, and check the simple things like bulbs (inc number plate) tyre pressure and wiper blades.

No point getting a fail on something silly you can change yourself.

Generally you just sign you will fix it for things that simple.
