Re: easyjet cancelled flight & refuse to compensate

Actually much better than doing nothing. I betcha there would a few pilots, dispatchers, mechanics, fuelers etc that would be happy to do anything to help the company.

If it was me I would certainly do it. In fact I have done it on a few occasions.

Re: easyjet cancelled flight & refuse to compensate

Just received a decent email from "Johan, CEO easyJet".
Even though automated, they claim that "Our customer service team will be in touch to let you know how to switch to a new flight, get a voucher or be reimbursed."

So as said, patience and all is well.

Re: easyjet cancelled flight & refuse to compensate

Got the same message. I am hoping that, for whatever reason, they have changed their minds and will be offering refunds. Or at least an incentive to take their vouchers.

Well done squeezy.

Re: easyjet cancelled flight & refuse to compensate

I just read that a way to see if your flight has been cancelled is to check if you can still book a seat for it or not. Apparently flights that are definitely cancelled are not available for booking. Just done a quick check and this seems to work for flights due to fly up to a month from now (it's very unlikely any easyjet flights will be flying in the month of May in any case).

Perhaps use this tip if you're wondering about your flight rather than waiting for the official cancellation which they're only sending out 7 days before you are due to fly.

Re: easyjet cancelled flight & refuse to compensate

To let others know - I just received the refund for my flight back around Easter.
So all in due course, I suppose, just keep your patience.

They emailed me a couple of times, first how to kickoff the process, then when they finalized processing the case.

You can change your email address as well, if you have more than one.
