Selling an imported used car

I am planning to import a second hand car from Germany. Does anybody know if there is any specific time period which i have to keep it in my possession before i am allowed to sell it?

As far as I know these rules only apply to "discounted" imports like bringing it along as personal goods when emigrating to Switzerland. If you perform a normal import and pay all taxes and such you can sell it the same day.

Re: Selling an imported used car

As Edwin said.

The selling limit is only if you imported it with tax benefits (usually due to a move, perhaps there are other cases but I can't think of any).

If you do it normally and have paid all taxes and duties, no problem to sell it immediately.
