S3XY ?
Next cars will probably be model M, followed by O, then T, H etc etc...
Talking about sexy EVs, the urban EV from Honda looks good. They had a nice concept last year and have taken it further towards production, should be on the Geneva show.
Dont really know how to link a picture here with my tablet, sorry.

Yes, S3XY. Read his biography from a few years back, it mentions that as the target.

I picked up my car yesterday and LOVE the driving experience. The open view without an instrument display is great and it took me all of 10 seconds to get used to the speedometer being to the right on the screen. The delivery hall was full of cars and there were three transporters being offloaded so these cars will become ubiquitous soon.

I am very sorry, if that has already been covered previously - what are other financial advantages of owning Model 3 (or any other e-car)? I.e. lower road tax (how much?), something else? Thanks!

I found insurance was cheaper than expected. It cost (when you pay) about CHF per 400kms to „fill up“.
At the moment Tesla Model 3 are for sale at CHF2000 over new price on Autoscout24. I very much doubt they will get anything like that. Delivery is now March for orders placed now and new prices are falling...

Road tax is 'free' for now, until EV become ubiquitous, and the government just needs the tax income.
I for one am jealous and would love an EV, but use my car not for commuting to work but across Europe travel. Also, being Dutch, I am more cheap than the Scottish so find EVs too expensive at the moment. The Honda EV hatchback style prototype looks really good to me, the M3 is a bit too 'big Americam sedan' for mt European taste. But I really see the appeal and wish you guys many happy km's !

Was visiting my sister in the US, drove around in her Model X - lots of lovely features and loved the panoramic roof.
Might seem random but gotta say I am disappointed there is no HUD in any of the Tesla models - a feature I have grown to really appreciate in our current hybrid

I've driven the odd car with it and I think having something in the windscreen is a bit annoying, but each to their own. You don't need to look at the console all that often in my experience, so not such a huge issue.

That said the Model 3‘s eccentric speedo on a screen to the right is not a problem...

You can get a HUD app for the phone (android).

Out of curiosity did tesla offer you a trade inprice for your car or did you organise it yourself? I'm hesitating but plan to re-asses once the super charger in Chatel St Denis opens.
Did you notice and build defects?

Tesla offer a not-as-bad-as-expected trade in. If you have experience of buying a new car and what you expect and what you are offered then you‘ll be prepared. Tesla‘s offer was better than a dealer would have given me - but stilll nothing like I really wanted.
Defects: charge flap doesn‘t close properly and so is difficult to open by simply pressing the flap. But opens with app and from in car and with charger. Noted at handover and to be fixed with a visit from Tesla.
I wouldn‘t worry about a local supercharger unless you live in an apartment with no available normal plug access. At the moment I have charged only from a normal socket in my garage = 11 kms/hour. Tesla will connector on the way....

| | | | | This is exactly the reason I want a local supercharger. I can charge in work but at home I have nothing unless I run a cable out the window and over the path to the car (which I'm sure someone would complain about).
Thanks for the info |

| | Re: Tesla Model 3 Fan Boy Thread | Quote: | | | | | I saw one of these in wild a few weeks back, and the exterior looks very nice. I was surprised that it is still quite a big car, given it's status as the smaller model. Very similar to Model S in many respects. Interior did look rather basic, but functional, and nice to see they retain a panoramic roof.
I just wish they had gone for a more typical hatchback design as this is by far the most practical for carrying larger items. | | | | |
This is coming in the Y just announced and after an upcoming test drive in a 3, I think I will go ahead and reserve a Performance Y
The HUD & carplay are two things I would've prioritized but it otherwise ticks just about every box I was hoping for in an electric vehicle
