I just successfully passed my road test in St. Gallen !!
I searched for teachers via
www.fahrlehrervergleich.ch and tested a few before I found one teacher that I stuck with. I tested a few because I wanted to make sure that I could understand their English and that the teacher was good. I finally chose an amazing teacher who has taught for over 20 years and it shows. I was fortunate to find René Bischof,
www.fahrschule-bischof.ch.

René taught with great care. With each lesson he took note of what I needed to work on and he made sure we worked on it in the next lesson. He really introduced me to the intricacies of driving in Switzerland which is, as you know some kind of crazy tricky with all the right of way rules... and I am from New York City!
I started to take lessons on a manual cal (stick drive) but then decided I just want to take lessons on an automatic. Both cars were super... just my preference to drive an automatic.
I can't recommend René enough. I always looked forward to my lessons and though I am super happy I passed the test, I miss driving with him. He's that great.
