Car Elevator, good or bad?

I visited an appt with a car elevator and no other vehicular access to the parking garage. This struck me as a rubbish idea, especially when someone came down as I was waiting to go up and we ended up nose to nose.

Anyone got long term experience of these, shared ones I mean, if you have a private one then bully for you.

Yep, I had one of those at a workplace once. Never really felt comfi to be honest but there never was a problem either.
As to the nose-to-nose: There is normally a light indicating that the elevator is in use afaI-remember. So if a dummy parks right in front of it .... he'll have to reverse. Never had that problem either though.

In addition to the elevator, we parked our cars on ramps, which you had to move (electrically, of course ) every time. They really made the most of the available space.

In case of a fire in the garage, your car is definitely a case for the insurance though.
