So I’m planning on renting a van and driving some of my stuff from London to Zurich in July or August.

Does anyone need to bring anything on the trip back? Ie I’ll have an empty van Zurich to London. I would be after only the cost of fuel and ferry. (Ie I’ll cover can rental and fuel/ferry down to Zurich).

Could you please let me know which van company did you use ? I assume it was rented from UK with EU travel cover and unlimited mileage.

I rented from Hertz - got a sprinter LWB. Cost for a week was £400 or so, with unlimited mileage, European cover and an extra driver.

I'm super interested in sharing the cost of your trip with you can bring my stuff too. Prices with Any Van are ridiculously high at the minute, the double I've paid when I moved from Zug to London two years ago.

I'm talking about 4x large moving boxes (about 20 kg each), 1x large suitcase, 2x dining armchairs, 1x double mattress (140 x 200), 1x small bench and 1x pallet coffee table.

What do you think?

That said, I regularly drive to/from London. I wouldn't be able to fit the double mattress in the car though
