Yeah its a bit of a tricky situation. I didnt import my A3 fully from the UK as it would have cost alot what with headlights, MFk, and so on... It just wasnt worth it. I also see my future here for a while and my wife is Portuguese so im not going back to the UK for a while so a RHD car was pointless.

you dont say where you are from? if your car is a LHD car then perhaps its a worthwhile process.

Im not sure what you should do, what do you need the car for and for how long? you can buy a car quickly and easilly here in Switzerland. It should be possible in a day or two if you act quickly and know what you are doing. You could go down the lease route or buy with cash. depends on your personal preference.
Hi, thanks for the reply. I am from Spain, so my car is LHD. I need the car for weekends, shopping, ... I will go to work with public transport.
At this point, knowing the cost of import is key to choose if import or buy. My current car is 10 years old.

Im pretty sure that your cost to import will be nearly zero. Im not sure the actual charge. Because you have owned it for more than 6months then it is your posetion, but im not 100% sure about the import costs becuase its not in the 1st 12months of your time in Switzerland. You could bring it in to Switzerland, declare it at the boarder and go from there. At the boarder, you give all the info of the car and your docuemnts and they issue you with a form, forget the name, but it costs around 25chf. As long as you are doing the process then you will be ok. I would go to the local Strassenverkehrsamtand asap and check with them. They will tell you all the info you need with all the facts you give them.

It's your *interpretation* as a non-native English speaker. It wouldn't be the first time you've falsely banged on about something because of your inability to comprehend.
So do tell us: Exactly what from that posting is not according to the rules? That would help OP and others much more instead of just blabbing "fake news" like some spoiled brat.

(Hint: I gave you a governmental link where you can find the info)
