| | Xiaomi electric scooter tire replacement in Basel
Hi All,
I bought a Xiaomi electric scooter few months back from the website. The back tire got punctured recently. I have an extra tire for replacement. Where should I go for replacement? Are there any repair shops in Basel which does this?
I already contacted some Velo shops about the replacement and they don't do this. Where should I go now? https://www.google.com/search?q=mi+e...fmYw0D9_bMVdM:
Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much

I don’t think it should be that difficult for either bicycle shop or specialized scooter shop to replace it. I googled the “scooter mechanics”. For instance, this came up ... https://www.scuderiabiasco.ch/ http://www.motoportvalten.ch/de/ |

No help for you sorry .. But it was for this very reason I bought mine where I did..
A shop in Geneve sells e-Twow brand and they do the full nuts and bolts servicing and repairs in house.. Just drop it off, get a courtesy scooter and come back when the servicing/repair/upgrade is done.

There are several videos in Youtube showing how to do it. I myself have done it several times. If you enjoy a bit of DYI work, it's not really rocket science.

I've cut my transit time across Geneve from ~30 mins to ~12 mins plus i use it around the village etc..
Legal - not quite. The model i have can be made legal in it's firmware and certified by the shop, homogulation certificate but I've taken the chance not to.Just reduces it's top speed.
So far so good with cops, I've seen plenty people being stopped but they tend to be on the sidewalk or pedestrian areas etc.. I stick to bike lanes, wear a helmet, follow the traffic rules etc.
It can be pretty scary in busy traffic too.. I have a downhill stretch where it hit's ~50km/h .. You need to just commit | This user would like to thank John_H for this useful post: | |

The only caveat is the limited 25 km/h top speed, there are times on the road when I need a little extra burst of speed to get out of a sticky situation and its just not there. If I did get one I would get it de-restricted just as a safety measure.
