Converting my US driver license into a Swiss one

Hi everyone, I would like to know how hard it is to convert your US driver license to a Swiss one. I am an Italian citizen, currently resident and living in the USA, I got my first an only driver license here in the US. My family now lives in Switzerland and might move back there soon. Will I have to restart from zero, go to classes and take exams to get my Swiss license or can I just pay to convert my US one? It looks like in Italy I would have to re do the whole process... hopefully it is not like this in Switzerland

Thanks,

Emiliano

Just convert it.

If you have had it less than two years, or are under 25, you will also have to take some courses.

My daughter moved back here with her US license last year and just had to pay, no tests.

Italy is different, when my niece moved there for school, she had to take lessons and the tests (US license).

Super easy. Just file in the form, get an eye exam (5 mins) and bring your US license with you.

I got everything done in < 2 hours.

* There is no queue in the dmv office here.

But 100% certain is shorter than DMV in the US, and no appointment needed.

Thanks! I have had my US license for 4 year but and have driven in Switzerland before with my US license and international driving permit... and also got stop when I was re-entering Swiss territory from France and everything went well. However when I'll convert it I will only be 23 yrs old. Does that mean I have to take a course?
