Swiss flights. You can now pay by invoice

Since last summer (that I've noticed, they may have started earlier) you can pay for your Swiss flights by invoice. When you come to payment you're given choices including Credit Card and Post etc, but there's also an option to pay by invoice.

If you choose that, you're taken to a page of Powerpay. They only accept payments from CH residential addresses, you just need to fill in your address, email and phone number, they send you a code via SMS to finalise the transaction and your flight is confirmed. Even if you don't pay the invoice, your flight is guaranteed. I guess Swiss pay them a small percentage as they would with credit cards.

A couple of days later Powerpay email you an invoice, you can pay it all at once or in 10 installments (I guess this is where Powerpay make their money by charging interest). I've booked 7 flights since last August, this way suits me as it saves on admin (paying by my CC then claiming it back on expenses). Now I just pay the invoice immediately from my business account.

I thought this also might be of interest to some of you lot. For the same reason as me or imagine you need to book an emergency (and expensive) flight back home but cash is tight, you can just book it and pay over a few months.

Let me know what you think!
