No driving licence? That's 225k

A man from Azerbaijan has to pay 225'000 CHF because of being caught twice in Wallis for driving with no license.

That's a hell of a lot of money

But......fines are proportional to income and got caught a 2nd time in less than a month after getting his permit withheld in CH. Funny thing is that 225K is surely more than 2 years of a private chauffeur, maybe even 3.

Which is why the man accepted the verdict. (Last two sentences).

Look out for Audis, he'll be back and the first time he lost the license for not being in shape to drive.

He can afford it, there's a reason why his day rate has been set that high.

Besides, he still got away pretty cheap. 225k is the fine for the first time only, meaning there was no fine (or just a tiny one) for the 2nd time.

The driver didn't think it was a problem to drive without licence, why should we think it's a problem for him to pay the fines (because it's just one).
