Filling in the CO2-Emissions request form

I've recently imported an electric car in CH. The car has already cleared the customs and I have the form 13.20A in hand. However, the Zürcher Strassenverkehrsamt, has told me that I first need to register the vehicle with ASTRA and obtain a CO2-emissions certificate, in spite of the car being an electric vehicle.

I've found the CO2-Emissions request form for personal automobiles (DE,FR). It has a YES/NO field asking: "Die CO2-Emission wird abgetreten / L’émission de CO2 est cédée" with a potential date. What exactly does this mean, I haven't been able to find an explanation.

AFIAK you could sell your 0 gramms of CO2 to an importer pool. IT might be worth some money.

I do not know if you are to far in the process or if it is still possible.

If you do, you would select YES and then enter the details of the importer pool in the new field bellow.

Interesting - depending on how much you can get, I may consider importing a tesla from the USA given the low prices and weaker USDCHF these days.

There are some problems importing Teslas from the US to Europe - and even within different European countries.

No supercharging
No internet (only changing SIM will not work)
No navigation
No radio (bands are bit different)
No Tesla support

Good news: electric vehicles pay no annual fee for registration plates in Canton Zurich...

Re: Filling in the CO2-Emissions request form

Unless there are local cantonal incentives, which I don‘t think there are, and some charge more than Zurich for the plates, VAT is charged on all vehicles EV and ICE...

Thank you for the reply. The field basically is a "no", since I never did anything with the zero emissions.

What about tax?
Are you referring to road tax or wealth tax? Electric Vehicles in Kanton Zürich pay no road tax ("Verkehrsabgabe"). Of course, you have to declare its value in the annual tax return form (Steuererklärung) as an asset, with the applicable depreciation.

Quote:
Für Fahrzeuge mit ausschliesslich elektrischem Antrieb müssen Sie keine Verkehrsabgabe bezahlen.
