Grey Card update...

I recently decided to keep my leased car - and the other thread on the insurance change has gotten me thinking...

My grey card still has the line about it belonging to a leasing company - how do I change this?

Re: Grey Card update...

Either get your garage to get a new grey card for you or take the card to your vehicle registration office and change it there.

Surely I need to get something from the old leasing company stating I've repaid the car in full?

Or does the registration office sort that out?

Obviously you will need something close to a bill of sale to be able to make the changeover. The leasing company should have lots of experience with this so let them give you the appropriate document(s).

I would have thought so - but got zilch from them (except the invoice of course)

Will give them a call.

I got a letter declaring no interest in the car from the leasing company when i paid it off. I gave this into the SAN, with the grey paper and they sent me a new grey paper with the line removed août a week later.
