Does any one driving through Germany and Switzerland board? If you from high risk area you have to submit the entry form and PCR test, do they check that on board? Can anyone share some experiences? Thanks a lot.

I wonder did anyone travel across the German border back to Switzerland? I will need to go through the border with a Dutch Licensing plate car. I wonder does the border police check every single car especially foreign car to verify they are allowed into the country and where they come from?

Re: Does anybody driving through the Germany Switzerland boarder?

Do you want to drive from Switzerland to a certain place in Germany or do you only want to drive through Germany?

You have to complete the digital Einreiseanmeldung and you have to quarantine.

You have to have a test or do one within 48 hours.

Are you a Swiss resident or citizen?

Are you travelling from Germany to Switzerland, or from Netherdlands to Switzerland through Germany?

If from Germany to Switzerland, there are some parts of Germany that are considered / will be considered at risk (The Netherlands is considered at risk as well), which means Covid test, quarantine and all that: https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home...nde/liste.html

Re: Does anybody driving through the Germany Switzerland border?

In general, entry:
Quote:
No pandemic-related travel restrictions apply to travellers entering Germany from another member state of the European Union or from the Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Iceland. The current travel restrictions apply to travellers entering from countries that do not belong to the EU and are not listed in the previous sentence.

Travellers are also required to complete digital registration on entry, to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test result depending on the risk status of the country of departure, and to comply with the quarantine regulations of the relevant federal states.
Transit (but strangely only listed for "3rd country", what about 2nd party, i.e. EU/Schengen to the same?)
No PCR listed here.
Quote:
Transit through Germany to travel to a third country
Nationals of non-EU countries (third-country nationals) may enter Germany to travel to a third country if the following conditions are met:

the traveller remains in Germany (as country of transit) only as long as absolutely necessary to travel directly to the country of destination or another transit country;
the traveller is permitted to enter the country of destination or another transit country, if applicable.
The third-country national must provide evidence on entry that the conditions (1) and (2) listed above have been met. Airline or other travel tickets, etc. may be presented to meet condition (1). To meet condition (2), travellers can present authorisation of entry to the country of destination (e.g. a visa) or an identity document or residence authorisation for the country of destination, for example.

Netherlands is on the BAG risk list so negative PCR test required for entry into Switzerland plus 10 days quarantine. Self declaration (although a NL registered car might be a heavy hint for them), fine up to CHF 10,000 for non-compliance.

I just drove straight from Schaffhausen to Basel through Germany. I wasn't stopped, but maybe I got lucky!
