Private Electrical charging point

Are installation for electric car charging points tax deductible for home owners? Also are there grants available (Kanton Zurich) ?

Anyone any recent experience and estimated cost installing one

Alternatively, does any one charge their car bus the standard household sockets as plugs are provided to for these

It takes time from a 10a socket but if you only drive to work it's probably fine, free fast charging at IKEA, just pay the car park ticket which is very cheap as is the Resturant if it was open. IKEA Resturant do a perfect rare steak, this was the last day they were open in Geneva in December

EV connectors are not tax-deductable in ZH - although you may be able to add one to your property maintenance, like solar panels.

However, my Tesla Wall Connector cost CHF550.- and the installation a further CHF1800.-, which is well below the Pauchal (package) allowance that you can claim if you have nothing done...
