If I had gone to the dealer, the motor would have been properly washed with refrainment from hitting a known Subaru sore spot. But the grease monkey at the tire chain, who probably dropped out of mechanic school, had no idea about it. Lesson learned. Do not take a fine set of wheels to a tire outfit for anything!
