Re: buying a car.....final thread

Porsche offer "Porsche approved" warranties - after a very thorough check - for cars up to 15 years old. They obviously wont insure aftermarket parts. I dont see why the shocks would be a problem for engine and pdk though.

Anyways: Whats the problem with running a PDK without warranty? The vast majority of Porsches have them and they are really very solid. I had the approved warranty when buying a used car from a Porsche dealer... didnt extend it as it is quite costly per year. Had very little problems with my Porsches so far... but that might be also depending on "driving style". There are some owners who seem to have consistently higher costs for brakes and maintenance...
Yeah that's the one I am going for. Got to pay 400 CHF for the check and then 2,000 for 2 years warranty. For me this is worth it for the peace of mind what with the per hour costs of dealers. Actually this is the only reason I am considering a car is because of the peace of mind this warranty gives.

(Oh and to hear the porsche sports exhaust at full chat. Though might have to drive to Germany for that!)
