Ticket for 2 or 3 days per week - Vaud

Looks ike mobilis - VD public transport are introducing this, abonnement of either 104 of 156 days of travel which can be activated on the spot.

http://www.mobilis-vaud.ch/fr/produi...ment-flexiabo/

Great idea for those who will go back to the office 2 or 3 days per week..

Any rumour of it going more generally ? Like a new version of the abonnement general? I need to travel outside of the mobils zones into Geneva so doesn't quite work for me. (if i ever go back to office)

AG is still expensive, no news on the horison.

I wonder if you can get Your place->last VD stop (Mobilis) and then 1st GE stop-> your destination (via another abo)?

For me -
If i go to the office 2 days per week i'm cheaper to just buy the ticket on the day.

If i go in 3 days per week it becomes cheaper to buy the monthy ABO..which of course would be wasted for the other days.

I haven't worked out if the mobilis is actually a good deal from the pricing but the idea of just the days we use seem good!

Yeah. I always thought it was more a matter of convenience than savings?
2 for 3 sounds like a win.

I believe the TPG tickets are valid as far as Coppet and include the CFF. And many of the Nyon Geneva trains actually stop there.

The price seems quite good/fair to me compared with the other options, but it depends a lot on your situation if it pays off or not.

For instance, the annual abonnement for Lausanne is 740 chf. The 104 days abonnement is 384. The price per day is more expensive, but that assumes you are using the annual one 365 days per year, which is not the case for most people. The new abonnement works out at about 3.7 CHF per day, which is quite a bit cheaper than a day card which is 6.9. It also works out cheaper for those 104 days compared to buying 2 one-way tickets (4.8), but more expensive than a single ticket per day (2.4). This assumes you have a half fare card.

Interesting to see one system doing it. I thought I read somewhere that the government had told SBB/CFF to introduce a similar abo?
