Update from ZH Airport todays morning. Automated baggage drop-off for Swiss/Edelweiss is broken. 30 min to bagages in check in 1. 20 min line in passport control (non EU line). We arrived 3 hours before departure and there was time for a coffee. Arriving two hours before the flight would have ended in running like crazy between long lines.
Well, wish you a nice summer. No internet for a few weeks | The following 7 users would like to thank Axa for this useful post: | |

We're flying via KLM with a stop at Schilpol in Amsterdam in a few weeks. I keep waiting for that dreaded email... If it comes, I'm going to take it as a sign from the universe that we need to cancel our trip and take a refund, as the thought of traveling right now with the # of new Covid cases rising is kind of freaking me out. |

The issue is that the ticket was booked on Bravofly so I have to take it up with them (this is where reading trustpilot reviews might have helped )
Anyway in these turbulent times it makes sense to book direct with the airlines since they are ready and willing to help.

A week later I got a second dreaded email doing the same to the return flight, but this time 5 hours earlier which completely messed up my arrangements, so I cancelled via the email link.
Swiss refunded the ticket the next day to my credit card BUT they deducted a CHF30.00 "service fee". This is reclaimable by my Zurich Relax policy...

I'd assume that the stimuli barely scratched the surface of their losses, as they did fire a lot of people, but still had incredibly high overheads (the people they did not fire, the landed planes, etc).

If a flight is delayed by more than 2 hours, they have to offer a full refund, including all service fees. I just had this with two tickets, one for my son, delay 1 day, and one for my daughter, original delay 5 minutes.
For my daughter no refund but could rebook for the same fare - no extra charges.
For my son on the phone he said I would get a full refund less the service fee. I argued the point and after speaking to a supervisor he agreed and I got the full amount.
I have to admit though, had I done it online and had the fee deducted, for CHF 30 I doubt I'd have waited on the phone for an hour so would have just accepted it.
