Hi Maciej, invite still up for Saturday?

If I see it correctly, the problem is that there is no/not much (?) parking space around as the area is quite dense. We had a similar situation with Don Molina last year where we came to similar car park and because it was only us 2, we could wash the cars and then fortunately found 2 spots close to each other to work on some details and have a good chat.

But if the group had been bigger that would have been a problem, cause there had been no space even to chat around waiting for a wash spot to free up.

In Embrach at least, even if all wash spots are full, because everyone decides to wash their cars on Saturday, we can park outside in a bigger group, hang out, get to know each other and once a spot becomes free, one of us can jump right in!

I think I could arrange with my family to be free after noon.

Not sure if this will help, but... it looks like you guys are trying to find a decent car wash to meet up at? I have no idea if it's the right distance for you, but there is a "Happy Car Wash" here in Greifensee located on Grossrietstrasse. It has about 6 stalls for washing, an automatic car wash that you drive into and a separate vacuum area. It doesn't usually seem to get too busy, and I think there's plenty of space there to park your car if you just want to chat.

Anyhoo, just thought I'd mention it.

Although I am pushing a bit for a more spacey location, I think based on the current users activity in this thread we might have handful of people showing up, which would probably justify less spacey location

It was nice meeting you and I hope we keep the spot alive.

For the next time and those interested, I would have couple of ideas:

1. We could do a bit of a deep dive workshop on a certain topic for example. If anyone has a particular wish or a problem, he/she could mention it ahead of the meet-up, so that anyone who wants to help can prepare and either share the experience or help addressing the issue on the go.

2. We could also rent out a space if anyone wants to do some polishing or anything outside of usual car wash setup. Tricky but doable.

3. If it wasn't for the very small group and luck to find space close to each other, it would be difficult to socialize. Although we managed to grab a coffee at Mac at the end
If the group was bigger or car wash more packed, it would be tricky to get to know each other.

So, maybe next time we could actually start outside of a car wash on some parking lot, grab a Gipfeli and coffee first, get to know each other, talk about cars, experience etc. and then head off to wash or focus on particular details.

All in all, these are just some thoughts if anyone interested for the future meet-up. Any other ideas or suggestions are welcome!

Yes, coffee first...or water to the ones that had a few beers the night before.

It would be nice to wash the underside to remove as much salt from the winter, so a place with a lift? But, maybe I do that by myself because it needs to be done in the next few weeks.

Although my Saturdays until 24th of June are already blocked unfortunately.
I could do 24.06. at the earliest or any Sunday on 11.06. or 18.06.

Otherwise if more people prefer Saturday before 24th, I'd join the next meet-up.

We have done this a number of times. My wife, who never converted her driving license into a Swiss one, gets her hands on the steering as soon as we step out of Switzerland.
We have also rented cars with her driving license out of Switzerland without issues.

June 24th is fine. I was my car exterior for now. Wait until next month to give some care to the interior.

Yes, Oftringen. But, don't know how expensive would be to work on Carpolish Cleaning.

My favorite carwash is on Gränichen, but not so easy to get there from the A1. So, let me find a nice carwash.
