| | Question about garages rentals and car sales
Hi,
So I've got 2 questions.
1. I've read here that you could rent a garage with tools and everything required to do some mid service for your car (if you are lucky even with an elevator)--> searched the forum and did not find any links. Do you know of some place where these properties are listed (maybe I am not using the correct search word "garage" and should search for something else). Also a secondary question here --> can you rent only in weekends or also in weekdays ?
2. Let's say I buy a car this month, am not satisfied with it and want to sell it. I've also read here that if you own a car for less than 6 months and end up selling it you will pay some extra taxes. Can you point me in the direction where you can read more about this ? And you will pay these taxes next year or how does it work ?
Thank you in advance

If it is a second hand car, no taxes. You can buy a new car today, sell it tomorrow, no problems apart from the massive depreciation !
Their is an addition tax CO2 tax on new cars imported privately though unless they fall under the threshold (usually electric or hybrid) or if they have already been registered for at least 6 months (demonstrators mainly) in another country.

I have three garages, found them by word of mouth, and it took me more then 10 years to find the first!
(the first signaled by a coworker who has a neighboring garage, the other two were signaled to me by the previous renters, and are all next to each other)

1. See this threads: Self Service Garage Experience review - Zurich Self Service Car/Van Workshops in Zurich?
2. This only applies if you have imported the car tax and duty free as part of your household.
