| | Where can I get a blue parking time-indicating disk?
Help! I have successfully acquired a car, but for the life of me I cannot find out where to buy the blue parking disk which I can use in timed-parking spaces? No one I have asked has any idea where one gets these things. Any ideas?

(You probably know where it is anyway, but here's a map just in case. Route de Lavaux 216.)

I paid for mine - it's one of those ones that sticks to glass (without leaving a mark) and means that it is permanently on the windscreen, so no arsing around trying to find the bloody thing once parking manoeuvres are finished - you know what I mean. |

there are also some disks that incorporate a mechanism that makes the time- disk rotate automatically. It's of course totally illegal.

Good Lord - have you seen when the original request was posted... if the person's been waiting this long, there's a good chance they've stacked up a fair few fines! | This user would like to thank Carlos R for this useful post: | |

I got mine with my first parking fine in Zurich - i didn't put one up in a blue zone, so the police put one under my wipers together with the ticket.

Hasn't anyone invented a digital one yet?
I find it so tiring having to turn a wheel when I could just press a button.

They have a simple watch movement in them and unlike Mr.Vertigo said are they completely legal: You have a button to press when you start, so the disc stops rotating and as soon as you push the button again it will adjust itself to the time... the illegal ones are the ones which switched the button, so it looks as if you put it on "park" while the disc actually continues to rotate... I am sure it's expensive to get caught with that one here as it is deliberate and planned, so "i forgot" doesn't work...
