Why? Do you prefer it when you are rear-ended?

Re: Traffic question - priority of road

Just to make it clear, since the coloring seems to have changed with the original picture: Yellow, before blue, before red, given all street have the same priority and no signs are indicated.

And Red before Yellow.

PS: This one is now a round about. Nice timeline feature in Google Earth.

And Red before Yellow.
Do not agree, since it is a three street intersection with all streets having the same priority. Red would be before yellow only, if the the blue vertical street would have a yield sign!

Red comes from yellows perspective from the right (Think about an Y where there is no through road). Red has priority.
Yellow has to cross reds path/is turning left. Red has priority.

Good luck in this case. The road with the red arrow has, further along to the north west, the most idiotic pedestrian crossing I have ever seen.

It is used four times a day by children as it is next to a primary school, a play group and a hort.
It is also used by children from another school.

One of two crossings has been moved to the middle of a blind corner. Normally crossings are put on straight roads so drivers can see clearly

The reason why there are two crossings is that there is no footpath on one side of the road so children have to cross the busy road twice in the space of twenty metres.
This situation has also changed. The crossing in the bend no longer exists. And there is now a footpath all along the same side of the road. The Kids coming down from Toblerweg now can walk all the way to Schulhaus Ort. Crossing Alte Landstrasse is then a piece of cake as it has no outlet has less traffic (Except for "overprotective" helicopter moms running over other kids with their big SUVs).

In that case you were right, of course. But it isn't, wasn't, respectively. And I even think that Absatz 1 has priority over Absatz 3?

Absatz 1 is just where you have to position your car on the road before you turn, nothing about priorities.

Maybe you are thinking about this situation:

A question: We know (or not?) that white panels determine secondary roads and blue ones determine main roads. Does this mean being on a blue-panel street gives you priority on a junction, even when no other indicator is there?

I guess not. I want to make sure.

White panel roads are, as you said secondary. Do not expect to have the priority on them, on contraire expect that priority from the right may apply.

Blue panel roads on the other hand are main roads. If you encounter a situation on such a road where you have to give priority from the right either someone messed majorly up, it is not an actual priority form the right (road entering over side walk, factory outlet etc.), or you missed the end of the main road sign:

Still, even on a blue roads you may encounter yield and stop signs.

That's exactly my point. Being on a blue-panel road does not necessarily mean by itself that I have priority: In case no other sign is placed (road marking, yellow sign,..), the usual priority from right applies here as well. Yes?
